[Thailand 3 nights 4 days] Recommended travel plan taught by Thailand lovers

"I'll tell you my recommended plan for 3 nights and 4 days in Bangkok!"

Hello, this is Macchan.

I made my debut in Thailand for the first time in the summer of 25 years old, and since then I have visited Thailand many times and have been able to encounter various charms of Thailand.

I have put together a list of recommended spots during my visit to Thailand.

This is a model plan based on a 4-day, 3-night stay in Bangkok. I hope this will be helpful for your trip to Thailand. This is a long post, but please bear with me. I would like to write about the 4 nights and 5 days version and the 5 nights and 6 days version as well.

Please refer to the article below for information on the budget and expenses for traveling to Thailand. ↓

Plan assumptions and points to note

Please reserve one day on either Saturday or Sunday.

First of all, this plan assumes that you will be able to stay in Thailand for a full day on either Saturday or Sunday.

This is because the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which will be mentioned later, is only held on weekends. Basically, flight tickets are not expensive just because it's a weekend. (Excluding Golden Week and summer holidays) Also, even in places that I won't touch on this time, markets and other events may only be held on weekends, so if you have time to visit on Saturdays and Sundays, you will have more options for your trip and will enjoy it more.

Should use a taxi

Use taxis to get around Bangkok.

The first ride is 35 baht (approximately 100 yen), which is very cheap, and since there are many of them, you can catch them quickly, making them very useful for getting around Bangkok. Taxis within Bangkok can cost less than 250 baht (less than 800 yen) at most. For example, if there are 3 people on board, it will cost around 2 to 300 yen per person. One thing to be careful about is taxi travel on Friday evenings. Bangkok is already prone to traffic jams, but it gets especially crowded on Fridays around 6pm. During this time, we recommend refraining from taking taxis and instead using public transportation such as BTS or MRT. (Public transportation is also quite crowded.)

Hotel to stay

Even in the center of Bangkok, Thailand, the areas around BTS "Asok" or MRT "Sukhumvit Station" are particularly convenient for transportation in many ways. In both areas, you can transfer from the BTS (monorail) to the MRT (subway), and it is a very convenient area with good access to major tourist spots and entertainment districts.

Sukhumvit 12 Bangkok Hotel & Suites

The first hotel is Sukhumvit 12 Bangkok Hotel & Suites. It's reasonably priced for a hotel in central Bangkok, and you can usually stay for around 5,700 yen. It is conveniently accessible from BTS Asoke Station, about a 6-minute walk. The rating on agoda.com is also quite high at 8.3.

The standard Deluxe type costs just under 6,000 yen in low season. It has a spacious double bed and measures 32 square meters.

Citadines Sukhumvit 23 Bangkok

This stylish hotel is located on Sukhumvit Soi 23, about 5 minutes north of BTS Asoke Station. The interior is relatively new and clean. You can also stay here for around 5,500 yen during the low season. Just a short walk from Soi Cowboy. It also has a high rating of 8.0 on agoda.

Room example: Studio Executive

It has a stylish structure similar to a designer hotel. It has a wide range of amenities, and the staff is well-regarded. Although it is located near Soi Cowboy, it is located in a quiet area, so you can sleep soundly at night without worrying about noise.

Tip: Get the hotel's business card.

The hotel's business card is available at the front desk, so keep it in your wallet. If you don't have one, I'm sure they'll give it to you if you say "Konamba." When returning to the hotel by taxi, it is convenient to show this and the hotel information will be immediately communicated.

Plan for the first day

Now, for the first day, let's assume that you arrive in Thailand on a flight that arrives in the afternoon.
Anyway, I'm tired from traveling today, so I'll refresh myself with a massage and then eat my girlfriend's Thai dinner.

Check in to the hotel, leave your carry-on bag, etc., and then let her head out into Bangkok.

1DAY-1: Wat Pho Massage School Sukhumvit School Direct Salon 39

Time required: 120min

A traditional shop run by a school directly managed by Wat Pho, the headquarter of traditional Thai massage.

The storefront is decorated with photos of many Japanese celebrities visiting the store, making it a well-known store among Japanese people. We moved to our current location in 2005 and continue to inherit traditional Thai techniques. In addition to full-body massage, treatments for individual body parts are also available, allowing you to focus on relaxing points such as your feet, shoulders, and back. Exfoliating the soles of your feet is also a popular option. There is also a Japanese menu, and many of the staff are fluent in Japanese, so communication is no problem. For the first time in Thailand, let's refresh him physically and mentally with a 120-minute traditional massage course (500 baht).

It is also introduced in this article. ↓

1DAY-2: Elegant riverside dinner overlooking the bridge at Kinlom Chom Saphan

Time required: 90min

The restaurant we recommend on the first day is "Khin Lom Chom Sa Phan."

This is a famous seafood restaurant whose meaning in Thai is ``Eating the wind, watching the bridge.'' It is a riverside restaurant with a refreshing breeze blowing in against the backdrop of the illuminated Rama VIII Bridge, which is exactly as the name suggests. Since it is far from the previous massage parlor, let's go there by taxi.
I think if you say "Kin Rom Chom Saphan" it will get through. I will also include the Thai notation.
If you can't understand verbally, try showing me this. "ร้าน กินลมชมสะพาน"

I think it will probably cost around 200 to 250 baht (700 yen) by taxi from the massage parlor.

1DAY-3: If you have time, have a night out at Soi Cowboy

Time required: 30-60min

Well, my stomach is full, but the night in Bangkok is yet to come.

If you have the energy, go out for a night out. He will also be tired from traveling, so if he is really tired, he should just go back to the hotel, go to bed, and prepare for tomorrow. Soi Cowboy is one of the most popular entertainment districts in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dozens of go-go bars with bright neon lights line the street, which stretches about 200m to 300m. Even if you're a woman who doesn't like a bit of adult entertainment, there's also a regular bar, so give it a try. You will see a completely different side of Thailand than during the day. There is a different world that is completely different from Japan's entertainment districts, and I think you can enjoy it just by looking at it.

A go-go bar is a bar where women perform dance shows on stage. When you pass in front of the store, a boy will beckon you and say, "Miru dake, miru dake" lol.

Soi Cowboy MAP

That's it for the first day. thank you for your hard work. Now let's move on to the second day.

2nd day plan

Well, it's my second day in Bangkok. Today, enjoy a tour of a traditional temple and some market shopping. By the way, today is supposed to be Saturday or Sunday.

2DAY-1: Experience the history of Thai Buddhism at Wat Pho

Time required: 90min

Even if you've never been to Thailand, you've probably seen Wat Pho, famous for its gigantic golden reclining Buddha statue.

What is Wat Pho?

It is also known as ``Nirvana Temple,'' and as the name suggests, the great golden Buddha reclines gracefully.

It is the oldest temple in Bangkok and is said to have been built during the Ayutthaya period. The spacious grounds include the main hall where the principal image is enshrined, a corridor, and a pagoda, giving it the feel of a Thai temple. Something special is fun!

That's not to say, but the giant golden reclining statue is a tourist spot worth seeing at least once. There is beautiful work on the soles of the feet of the reclining statue. Please check this locally.

It is far from public transportation stations, so we recommend accessing by taxi.

2DAY-2: Chatuchak Weekend Market, the world's largest weekend market

Required time: 240min

In the morning, I received the power of Nirvana at Wat Pho.

In the afternoon, let's buy some souvenirs from this trip. The "Chatuchak Weekend Market" that we introduce is the world's largest market located next to Chatuchak Park near the BTS "Mo Chit" station.

It is held every weekend only on Saturday and Sunday. Let's take a taxi from Wat Pho. There is also a street food stall, so you can have lunch there. It is said that there are between 10,000 and 15,000 stores, and it is said that there are so many stores that it is said that ``you will never be able to find the same store you visited once.''

It's impossible to visit all the places in one day, but the types of goods sold in each section are roughly categorized, so you can rely on the map distributed at the information desk and hit the section you're looking for. This article↓ introduces Chatuchak Weekend Market in more detail.

2DAY-3: Enjoy Thai BBQ hotpot at “N-JOY Moogata”

Time required: 120min

Walking around Chatuchak Market and shopping left me feeling exhausted and hungry. For today's dinner, let's have a fun and lively "Mougata" with great stamina. This time we will head to N-JOY Moogata, a popular Moogata restaurant in Bangkok.

Transfer from Chatuchak to "N-JOY Mugata"

From Chatuchak Market, take the BTS from the nearest BTS station, ``Mo Chit,'' and get off at the 5th station, ``Victory Monument Station.'' It takes about 10 minutes.

What is Mougata?

On the left is Mougata Nabe. The shape is similar to a Genghis Khan pot.

Moogata simply means ``Thai-style yakiniku hotpot.''

As shown above, the Mougata hot pot has a unique shape, allowing you to enjoy ``BBQ'' on the iron plate above the bowl in the center, and then soak the soup in the ``moat''-like depression around it and enjoy ``nabe'' there. It's a family dish. It's basically an all-you-can-eat buffet, and this "N-JOY Moogata" is also a moogata buffet for 229 baht.

The ingredients are buffet style like this There is also a Som Tam bar where you can make your own Som Tam.

You can read more about "N-JOY Mugata" in this article. Please check it out.

About 5 minutes walk from BTS "Victory Monument" station.

That's it for the second day when you're full from Moogata. On the way back, take the BTS again and get off at BTS "Asoke" station to return to your hotel.

3rd day plan

Well, it's my third day in Thailand and I think I've gotten used to the atmosphere of the city. Today is the last day I can play all day. Enjoy it to your heart's content.

3DAY-1: Koh Kret, a small island on the outskirts of Bangkok that is not listed in guidebooks

Required time: 180min

Koh Kret is a small island in the middle of the country, about an hour's drive from Bangkok.

A taxi from central Bangkok costs about 300 baht. It is a nostalgic spot with a relaxing atmosphere far away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Although it is not listed in the guidebook, it was a place that I am really glad I visited. The island, which has a circumference of about 10km, has lush nature and a local market selling local specialties. There are bicycle rental shops all over the place, so you can rent a bicycle and go around the outer circumference of the island.

A market with local specialties Unglazed pottery, a specialty of Koh Kret Cycling around the area feels great.

This article introduces it in detail. Please also check.

3DAY-2: Rest & Shopping at Terminal 21

Time required: 90min

After feeling nostalgic at Koh Kret, take a taxi back to Bangkok and enjoy a break and some shopping at Terminal 21, a shopping center near BTS Asoke Station.

A unique shopping center with an airport motif

The 8-story building, including the basement, is modeled after an airport, and each floor has a motif of a famous city such as London, Tokyo, or Paris.

The outline of each floor is like this.

・6F: Hollywood...Movie theaters, electronics
・4/5F: San Francisco...Food court, restaurant, cafe
・3F: Istanbul...Accessories, shoes, miscellaneous goods
・2F: London...Men's & sports fashion
・1F: Tokyo...Ladies' fashion
・MF: Paris...Thailand, designer fashion
・GF: Rome...Men's and women's fashion, money exchange office
・LG: Caribbean...Supermarket, prepared foods, bakery

The Tokyo floor is good On the contrary, it has a very strange and interesting Japanese feel, similar to the Japan you see in Hollywood movies. For some reason, there were signs with the names of Yamanote Line stations everywhere, and there were giant objects depicting sumo wrestlers and beckoning cats.

Tokyo floor. Katakana? A glimpse of unreadable characters like Tokyo floor beckoning cat san francisco floor london floor

I thought the San Francisco and London floors were relatively well-built, but I've never been there, so maybe this is just a stereotype lol.

The San Francisco floor on the 4th and 5th floors has a food court and many restaurants and cafes, so please come here for a meal or a break.

Food court on the 5th floor

Terminal 21 MAP

3DAY-3: Massage at Healthland

Time required: 120min

After taking a break at Terminal 21, relieve your tiredness with a massage.

Healthland, which is about a 5-minute walk from Terminal 21, is a popular shop among Japanese female customers who can receive massages at very reasonable prices despite its luxurious interior. A traditional Thai massage costs about 600 baht (2,000 yen) for 120 minutes.

Healthland MAP

3DAY-4: Shopping at Tallatroffai Ratchada (Railway Market)

Time required: 60min

At the end of the third day, we went to the night market.

This is a relatively new night market that opened in 2015, also known as Talatlofai Ratchada, or ``Railway Market.'' From the aforementioned Health Land, first head to the MRT (subway) Sukhumvit Station, which is about a 5-minute walk, then take the northbound train for 4 stops, and get off at the MRT "Thailand Cultural Center Station", which is right there. .

There is nothing specifically about railways, but the reason why it is called a railway is because it was originally a night market that was held on the site of a warehouse belonging to the State Railways of Thailand in a place called Chatuchak. We have moved to two markets including There is also a railway market called Talatlofai Sinakarin as a sister market. You can take the photo of his colorful tents above from the 4th floor of the multi-storey parking lot of the adjacent Esplanade shopping center. This way, you can see at a glance the size of the market.

Talatlofai Ratchada seen from the Esplanade

There are many stylish bars, and it is a night market that is very popular among young people in Bangkok. We are open from around 17:00, but please note that we are closed only on Tuesdays.

The symbol of this railway market is the railway mark. stylish drink stall There are many fashionable levers like this.

Talatlofai Ratchada MAP

Well, we played a lot today too.

So that's it for day 3. On the fourth day, prepare for your return and return to Japan so you don't forget anything.

summary

What did you think. The author, who has visited Thailand many times, recommends his 3-night, 4-day plan. There are many more places that he would like to recommend, not only those listed in the guidebook, but also for those who are visiting Thailand for the first time or not. I would also like to write about 4-night plans and 5-night plans in separate articles.
