Saitama Prefecture appoints two popular Thai actors to promote tourism
Saitama Prefecture, in collaboration with Seibu Railway, commissioned two popular female actors from Thai movies and youth dramas as ``LOVE SAITAMA Ambassadors'' on the same day.
The aim is to attract tourists from Thailand by inviting two people who are very popular on Instagram and having them post photos of sightseeing spots and local products in the prefecture. The two are Hran Narikul Ketpraphakorn (20) and Bale Kemisala Paradesi (22), with 1.85 million and 1.33 million followers, respectively.
The number of Thai tourists coming to Japan in 2017 reached approximately 980,000, an increase of 9.5% from the previous year, and the prefecture, which wants to increase the number of visitors, and Seibu Railway, which wants to promote the charm of the area along the railway line to overseas, are jointly working together. I invited him on April 27th.
The two toured Chichibu and Hanno, and in Kawagoe they strolled through the streets of Kura and the confectionery alley. When he immediately posted a picture of Shibazakura in Chichibu City, he received 60,000 likes. After receiving the commission, the two said, ``I love sweet potato sweets.I want to continue to share Saitama with everyone,'' and ``I loved the intensity of the river rafting in Nagatoro.''
