Stylish dormitory near Asok Phrom Phong Station

This may be a sudden question, but what is your image of a dormitory (guest house)?

  • My luggage is likely to be stolen.
  • There seems to be no private space.
  • It seems kind of unsanitary
  • I'm afraid of stopping with foreigners

My impression before using a dormitory was that even though it wasn't this bad, it
was a dormitory even though it was a trip? Hmm, I was thinking that a hotel would be a good idea.

The price of living is about a quarter of that of Japan, so you can stay at a decent hotel in Thailand for as little as 3,000 yen, but to be honest, Asok is a hotel near Siam or Phrom Phong that costs around 3,000 yen. .
In Bangkok, you can only stay in old business hotels. Hotels that cost around 8,000 to 10,000 are pretty good hotels.

Image after staying in the dormitory

  • I enjoy talking with the staff.
  • It's convenient to have coffee and use the refrigerator.
  • Surprisingly comfortable private space
  • Great cost performance
  • Good manners of users

That's why I've been staying only in dormitories lately.

[Rating 9.2] Dormitory “Live It Up! Asork” where you can stay from 1000 yen, 5 minutes walk from Asok Station

how is it? Doesn't the image change?

Yes, dormitories in Thailand are stylish.

What's more, it's cheap! ! I stayed for about 2 nights, and the total cost was 2000 yen!

It's too cheap, isn't it?
There is also a washing machine, so it is suitable for long-term stays. A room card was given to the room key.

If you lose it, they will reissue it for about 100 baht.

How do you know?

It's because I lost it! !

I went there and lost it. (And this was just the beginning...)

Also, and this is important, there are no stray dogs on the road from the station to the dormitory 🐶

There may not be many people who care about it, but wild dogs are scary!
! On that point, there are almost no stray dogs in this dormitory or rather in Asoke! !

I have a cat instead. I forgive that. Rather OK

This time, we used a room for 8 people.
There was a large valuables box, and there was a curtain on the bed, so I felt like my private space was protected. There was a time when there were only three people in the same room, but we didn't overlap each other, so it wasn't noisy.

Good manners of users

After all, most people living in dormitories are well-travelled.
So I have good manners.

Dormitories are not hotels, so you have to take care of yourself, and when you use shared spaces, you have to keep them clean.
Because of this awareness, all the users were good people with good manners.

You can also interact with foreigners, which is a different kind of fun than regular travel.

What Wifi speed are you concerned about?

It's reasonably comfortable.
I can't say it's super fast though. By the way, the dormitory is equipped with a computer, and you can print it out for 5 baht.

Other good points

  • Convenience store nearby
  • There are bars nearby (Soi Cowboy, Sukhumvit 24)
  • There is a massage parlor right outside the dormitory.
  • There is a shopping mall (Terminal 21, Emporium)
  • Close to the station. 5 minutes walk
  • There are many Japanese restaurants.
  • Quiet at night.

dissatisfaction

I have only one complaint.
There is no space to change clothes in the shower room. Well, technically there is, but it's a shared space.

There's no problem if you don't like it.

Agoda rating 9.2

In terms of safety, the main thing is that there are no dogs!
There was nothing to say here. I wish I had stayed longer.

[Rating 8.8] Dormitory in Sukhumvit 24 (commonly known as Massage District). Rezt Bangkok

Speaking of Sukhumvit 24, it is the so-called massage district.

Did you feel the color?

I don't think many people go there on their first trip, but there is Lek, a massage parlor that I personally found to be of the highest quality in Asoke, with surprisingly delicious Japanese food and massages.

The location is at the end of a narrow alley about 5 minutes walk from Sukhumvit 24.
Before I go, I honestly wonder if this narrow alley is okay? That's what it felt like.

I want you to see this.

This is definitely a dog...

It's 100%.
It will definitely come out... I made a reservation and canceled it once. To go for a preview the day before (lol)

That's why I stayed at Live It Up! Asork.

However, there was...

Cat! !

This road turned out to be a cat road.
There were about 10 cats.

The exterior looks stylish.
It was quite spacious and comfortable inside.

The staff's response is also OK.

Good things about Rezt Bangkok

  • About 1000 yen per night.
  • Wifi is fast.
  • Overall clean.
  • It was a calm, Japanese-style garden.
  • There's a cat
  • A massage parlor (decent) is nearby.
  • There are bars and Japanese restaurants nearby.
  • About 10 minutes walk to Phrom Phong

It was 1,744 baht for 6 nights, so it's a pretty cheap dormitory.
The location is between Asok and Phrom Phong stations.

If you go all the way along Sukhumvit 24, you will find the Japanese hot spring "Yunomori". I definitely want you to go there too!

Dormitories are closer to home than capsule hotels.

These are the two dormitories I stayed in in Asoke this time.
The reviews on Agoda were pretty high, so I thought I couldn't go wrong, but I'm glad I chose a higher-rated dormitory.

How about that? Has your impression changed?

Come to think of it, I couldn't really communicate with Dmitry when I spoke to him in English or Thai.
It would be better to call it a guest house.
