“When I go to Thailand, I want to go to Pattaya!”
Hello, this is Macchan.
Whenever I go to Thailand, I want to go to Pattaya, my spiritual hometown, and every
time I take a long-distance bus from Ekkamai bus station.
Even though it's a long distance, it's only a little over two hours, so if you're asleep you'll catch up quickly.
However, there are several ways to get to Pattaya other than the bus, so
I would like to introduce them all here.
as soon as possible!
For those who want to go. As cheap as possible!
For those who want to go. I would appreciate it if you could refer to it.

How to go directly from Don Mueang International Airport to Pattaya
Beltravel used to operate a bus direct to Pattaya, but this service has now been discontinued.
(Very disappointing) Therefore, you will basically have to travel by taxi.
How to go to Pattaya by taxi
I want to go as soon as possible! If you prefer, charter a taxi.
There is so much money!
Anyway, I want to go to Walking Street as soon as possible!
For those who say that, taxi is the only option.
Taxis run as fast as you throw a stone, so
try negotiating to see if they will take you to Pattaya.
The average price from central Bangkok is 1,500 to 2,000 baht.
Occasionally some taxis will refuse to go that far, in which case you should look for another one of his.
It is also good to make advance reservations at a travel agency.
It is possible to hail a taxi on the spot, but if you know the exact date and time, we recommend booking a taxi in advance through a travel agency.
In that case, you can specify the location where you would like us to pick you up, such as your hotel, and we will come at the specified date and time.
In the case of travel agency taxis, they are ordinary private cars, unlike the so-called colorful taxi cars in Thailand.
But they are often newer and more comfortable than regular sink taxis. Also, since gas and expressway fees are covered, it's nice to have clear accounting.
If you take a taxi, you may end up having trouble later if the originally agreed upon cost does not actually include expressway fees or gasoline fees. It's also cheaper than a regular long-distance taxi.
(1500 baht from central Bangkok) For your reference, I have included a link to the price list of a famous travel agency in Pattaya.

If you want to keep costs as low as possible, take a long-distance bus from the bus terminal.
Long-distance buses run regularly from the bus terminal to Pattaya Bus Terminal.
We will introduce three routes that are easy to use.
Please note that advance reservations are generally not possible for any route; you must go to the counter on the day of the flight and purchase an available reserved seat.
Bus from Ekamai East Bus Terminal
Ekkamai East Bus TerminalYou can board the bus from the East Bus Terminal, which is located right next to Ekkamai BTS Sukhumvit Line Ekkamai Station.
There will be one break along the way.
I always use this bus. It runs every 30 to 40 minutes between 5:00 and 23:00.
The price is 108 Thai Baht (THB).
By the way, one thing to keep in mind is that there is also a minivan-type shared bus called ``Lottu'' , but although it is narrower than a bus, it costs more (about 130 baht).
Therefore, we recommend using a large bus.
There are many people calling for tickets, but it is definitely best to buy tickets at the counter on the right side of Ekkamai East Bus Terminal. If you use any other counter, you may end up buying Lottu tickets by mistake.

Bus from Mo Chit North Bus Terminal
Mo Chit North Bus TerminalThis bus departs from the Northern Bus Terminal at Mo Chit Station on the BTS Sukhumvit Line.

It runs every 30 to 40 minutes between 4:30 and 22:00.
The fare is 117 THB for the expressway route and 108 THB for the toll road route.

Hua Lamphong Station in BangkokIn fact, Pattaya is also accessible by train.
If you only have 50 baht left in your wallet, or if you like traveling through the train window, I think a relaxing train trip would be a good idea.
There is one inbound and one outbound flight per day between Bangkok and Pattaya.
The fare is 31 baht for a non-air conditioned train that stops at each station.
Hmm, cheap. The trip leaves from Bangkok quite early in the morning, so it might be a little difficult for people who don't like mornings.
