[Best in cost performance] 5 high-quality hotels in Bangkok where you can stay for under 5,000 yen
“I want to spend as much time as possible on fun, so I want to keep hotel costs as low as possible!”
Hello, this is Macchan.
I have visited Thailand many times, and when it comes to hotels, I sometimes stay at high-end resorts, and other times I stay at reasonable hotels that cost less than 5,000 yen.
The ones I stay at the most are in the 2000 yen range. But don't underestimate this Thai hotel. For 5,000 yen, you can stay at a hotel that is much better quality than in Japan.
In Japan, there aren't many hotels that cost less than 5,000 yen per night.
This time, we will introduce hotels that are "cheap", but are of high quality considering the price.
We hope you find this helpful as a reference for your trip to Bangkok.

sukhumvit area
First, we will introduce hotels in the Sukhumvit area, which is an important place for entertainment and sightseeing in Bangkok.
It is the center of Bangkok, convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and nightlife. If you are visiting Bangkok for the first time, you should definitely book a hotel around here.
The Darwin Bangkok Hotel @BTS Nana Station
The first one is about 5 minutes walk from BTS Nana Station.
Introducing "The Dawin Bangkok Hotel" on Sukhumvit Soi 4. This hotel hasn't been around long since it opened, and the facilities and interior are very clean. The staff are friendly and will happily handle check-in and check-out and other procedures.
The front desks at hotels in Thailand are very hospitable at luxury hotels, but at cheap hotels they can be quite blunt, so I was left with a very good impression. It is easy to access as it is close to the BTS station and faces the main road.

Citadines Bangkok Sukhumvit 23@BTS Asoke Station
This designer hotel is located on Sukhvit Soi 23, close to BTS Asok Station.
This Asok station is the most important area for transportation, as it is also possible to transfer to the subway (MRT). A night stay at the cheapest executive studio is around 4,500 yen in low season.
High season: around 5,300 yen. Nearby are the famous commercial complex ``Terminal 21'' and Bangkok's largest entertainment district ``Soi Cowboy''.
This is a highly recommended hotel with a beautiful interior and courteous staff.

Sukhumvit 12 Bangkok Hotel & Suites @BTS Asok Station
The third hotel is Sukhumvit 12 Bangkok Hotel & Suites located on Sukhumvit Soi 12.
Although it is a little far from the station, there is a free shuttle service, so there is no problem even if you have luggage. It's in a very quiet location because it's a little far away, and you can see the neighboring Benjakiti Park from your room.
Even though it is in the center of Bangkok, it has a wonderful resort feel full of greenery.

Around On Nut Station
"On Nut" is an area that is attracting attention as development is progressing rapidly and the number of Japanese residents continues to increase.
In time, it may become a residential area for Japanese purveyors like Phrom Phong and Thonglor.
Classic Sukhumvit BTS On Nut Station
Classic Sukhumvit is a hidden gem, a 10-minute walk from On Nut BTS Station.
Don't worry, there is also a tuk-tuk shuttle to and from the station. There are Thailand's two largest supermarkets, BIG-C and Tesco Rotus, nearby, so you won't have any trouble shopping or buying souvenirs. Superior rooms can be booked for as little as 2,000 yen from agoda.com.
But it's clean and I have no complaints. The location is a little difficult to find, so be sure to get the hotel's business card when you move around.
When returning to the hotel by taxi, just show your business card (nambha). Actually, my friend lost his wallet while using this place, but the front desk staff was very kind and made an international call to the Japanese credit card company. The staff's response is also ○.

Sutisan area
Next is the area around Suttisan Station along the subway (MRT).
Once you leave the BTS line, there are fewer Japanese people and the local feel becomes much better. The area around Sutissan Station is crowded with local markets on weekdays, making it a very fun spot.
It is also close to Bangkok's famous markets, Chatuchak Weekend Market and Talat Lofa Ratchada, and can be accessed from BTS Sukhumvit Station in central Bangkok in just over 10 minutes. You can learn more about Stysan in this article. ↓
Diamond Residence Ratchada @BTS Sutthisan Station
This hotel is about a 5-minute walk from BTS Sutthisan Station.
You can also make a reservation from agoda.com for around 2000 yen.
Breakfast in the cafe's outdoor space has a nice open feel.
There was no hair dryer provided as an amenity, but apparently to prevent theft, you had to pay a deposit to rent it out at the front desk.

summary
"Hotels in Thailand are cheap but beautiful!"
We introduced some reasonably priced but highly rated Bangkok hotels where you can stay for less than 5,000 yen.
Key points for good value hotels in Bangkok
- Prices start from 5,000 yen in the center of Bangkok along the BTS line (Siam to Thonglor)
- If you leave the central area, it will cost as much as 2,000 yen.
- Cheap but totally good. If you are interested, please refer to the reviews on the hotel reservation site.
That's what it feels like.
Central Bangkok is convenient at first, but it's also a good idea to choose a hotel location based on where you want to go, and I think part of the fun of traveling is finding your own permanent area and digging deeper into it. .
