Koh Lan

An island located to the west of Pattaya, one of Thailand's leading entertainment districts.
It has four resort beaches and is a popular spot for beachgoers.
It takes about 40 minutes (30 baht) to get there by boat from Bali Hai Pier near the end of Walking Street.

In 2013, a ferry ferry to Koh Lan capsized and
several foreign passengers died
and life jackets have been made compulsory ever since.
(Until then, jackets existed, but no one wore them.)
